I2C Xpress Protocol Exerciser/Analyzer

I²C Xpress is a I²C protocol exerciser and analyzer.  It operates on standard I²C protocol interfaces at low-speed 10 kbps, standard 100 kbps and fast 400 kbps modes. Fast+ 1 Mbps mode is also supported.

I²C Xpress is used as a master and analyzer on a I²C bus.  I²C Xpress is provided with the 8PI Control Panel software, used as your PC interface to interact with your embedded system I²C bus. 8PI Control Panel is delivered with a TCL/tk scripting environment, access to C/C++ DLL and a graphical interface.

As a I2C master, I²C Xpress allows communicating with a network of I²C devices placed on the bus. It allows addressing 7 bits and 10 bits slaves, sending arbitrary length write and read operation. It reports events occurring on the I²C bus, like missing acknowledge and bus arbitration loss.

As an I2C analyzer, I²C Xpress overamples the I²C bus, collects a given number of rough data samples and processes it, attempting to isolate and decoded each I²C bus transaction. The collected data can be saved as decoded data, raw samples and also VCD file.

*** IMPORTANT:  ALL GP and Xpress series devices with serial number starting with "05" must be used with  8PI control Panel software version 2.05 or newer. ***
