The UCA-6120 is the first in a series of ingenious solutions designed to lower the total cost of IP video installations. Most existing CCTV systems employ co-axial cable as the video transmission media with some sites having 10s or 100s of kilometres already installed. Thanks to the UCA-6120 it is now possible to use this existing co-ax cable to transmit fully specified 100Mbps Ethernet signals transparently across a link of up to 350m. A power transmission capability means that no power is required at the remote end and this can further reduce the cost of new installations.

    • Transmit full duplex 100Mbps Ethernet & power over co-axial cable
    • Transmission distance up to 350m
    • Connect IP cameras using existing co-axial cables
    • Transparent to higher layer protocols
    • Removes cabling cost when upgrading from analogue to IP video systems
    • Remote end is powered over the co-ax, no need to run a separate power spur
    • Triple award winning solution!
