Berkeley Nucleonics Model 845-12 12GHz Microwave/RF Signal Generator
Manufacturer: Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation
Berkeley Nucleonics' Model 845-12 RF Microwave Signal Generator is a low-noise RF signal generator covering a frequency range from 100kHz - 12GHz and with full modulation capabilities. The fast-switching Model 845-12 Microwave RF Signal Generator offers a wide and flat output power range with high signal purity. Advanced frequency synthesis with a fractional-N divider design provides low SSB phase noise and micro-Hz frequency resolution.
The Model 845-12 Microwave RF Signal Generator includes extensive modulation capabilities: AM, DC-coupled, low distortion wideband-FM, PM, FSK and PSK, frequency chirp, and fast pulse modulation with internal pulse train generator are provided as standard. Three internal modulations sources are available. All modulation modes of the Model 845 can be combined. This allows the generation of quite complex modulation signals for modern communication and location system needs, such as simulating Doppler effects or chirp signals. The combination of FM and AM can be used to check fading effects of FM receivers. The combination of pulse modulation and FM Simultaneous AM and pulse modulation provides the types of signal occurring in pulse radar applications with rotating antenna.
The Model 845-12 is ideally suited for applications where a high-quality CW microwave source with analog modulation is required. The Model 845-12 operates with an ultra-stable temperature compensated 100 MHz reference (OCXO) and can be phase-locked to any external reference from 1 to 250 MHz. It can operate on line or battery power, making it useful for field applications or large laboratories.
The Model 845 is available in versions with a maximum output frequency of 12, 20, & 26.5 GHz. The Model 845 can also be customized and configured to suit specific needs. Options include: HP (high output power), LO (CW only, no modulation - only available on 20 GHz & 26.5 GHz), & R (1U rack mountable configuration).
The Model 845-12 is equivalent to the AnaPico Apsin12G
