Multi-2/USB is a device which extends serial ports using USB port from PC, and its data transmission rate is of up to 921.1Kbps. Since it draws power from USB port, no external power is required. Also, Multi-2/USB is compatible with USB .1.1 and 2.0 specifications.

RS232 and Combo (RS422/485) Interface Types

Multi-2/USB consists of two types; RS232 and Combo model. Combo model supports DIP switch selection between RS422 and RS485 mode and automatic RTS toggling.

Supports USB Specification Revision v2.0

USB Rev 2.0 supports communication speed up to 480Mbps. Faster Bus bandwidth has significantly increased throughput of serial communication, and this model shows 30% increase in speed compared to the previous model. Therefore, it shows better performance in an environment where large amounts of data are being transferred.
