UCA93LV is a fully-featured USB to I2C-Bus Communications Adapter from Calibre UK, the industry standard leader in I2C-Bus Comms Adapters for PCs. The UCA93LV builds on Calibre's well-proven ICA90 & PCI90 I2C-Bus Communications Adapters which are now widely regarded as the industry standard tool, thousands of which are currently in use by companies large and small.

UCA93LV supports all I2C-Bus-compliant protocols including Master and Slave in 8-bit and 10- bit/extended addressing formats in both 100 KHz and 400 KHz high-speed modes. UCA93LV can also non-invasively real-time monitor an external I2C-Bus and includes new real-time data filtering features to allow specific addresses to be monitored as well as a full data-logging mode. The UCA93LV is able to work with I2C-Bus systems running on supplies between 1.8V and 5V so is ideally suited for use in low-power applications. It is software programmable for bus-voltage and includes protection circuitry to ensure that the UCA93LV is not damaged if accidentally connected to a bus voltage different from that for which it is configured. UCA93LV works authentically at its programmed voltage providing selectable bus pull-ups at the appropriate voltage and does not simply clamp the incoming levels to a lower voltage - it is truly voltage programmable, not simply 5V tolerant. In addition to the I2C-Bus port, UCA93LV also includes two user-definable uncommitted TTL-level I/O lines which can be used for monitoring or driving external circuitry such as system resets, address select lines or interrupt flags.

The UCA93LV/C package includes the USB - I2C-Bus adapter module, USB cable, a comprehensive user manual, Windows 98/2000/ME/XP device drivers to enable users to integrate the product with their own software applications and a real-time I2C-Bus monitor program. Ready-to-run WINI2C software for immediate control and development of I2C-Bus systems is also available as an optional extra and is strongly recommended for new users.
