 I
just returned from a two-week trip to rural India to witness first
hand some water projects funded by my church. It was amazing
to see what a difference in the tribal villages that fresh water made -
increasing their health, prosperity and self-sufficiency as crops could
now regularly be farmed. It certainly put a new perspective on the
luxuries we sometimes take for granted.
The holidays are a time for reflection and getting ready for next

Windows Xp Dead or Alive?
|
|
 January 31st 2009 marked the
withdrawal of Windows XP Professional OEM. In practice, this means that
both business and industrial users of this operating system find it
increasingly difficult and ultimately impossible to buy Windows XP as an
individual product or pre-installed on a PC. For the industrial user who
manufactures hardware or software that only has support for Windows XP,
the problems can be severe. Re-writing software or re-designing hardware
in the current economic climate would be an untimely enforced investment
- a problem which the ongoing availability of Windows XP would solve.
