DAQ-2500X Offers Scalable Synchronized Data Acquisition

with unique USB-inSync™ technology.

Pittsford, NY. Fiberbyte (Adelaide, Australia) has combined its unique USB-inSync™ technology with real-time I/O to produce DAQ-2500X, a four-channel, 16-bit 100KS/s simultaneous-sampling device. USB-inSync™ is a novel USB-synchronizing technology which, while fully compatible with existing USB ports, allows DAQ-2500X to be expanded with additional modules to yield a possible 16 inputs with 1MB/s data throughput, as well as programmable digital I/O and advanced triggering functions.

DAQ-2500X’s four discrete ADCs deliver true synchronous acquisition at 100kS/s per channel with an impressive 400kS/s continuous data throughput.  The 1MB FIFO provides on-board buffering of more than one second of data with all four ADCs sampling at 100kS/s. Fully programmable digital I/O and triggers make DAQ-2500X perfect for numerous data logging applications.  For complete mobility, DAQ-2500X can even operate from battery power.

DAQ-2500X is an expandable data acquisition system due to the unique synchronized nature of USB-inSync™. Adding additional synchronized data acquisition channels is as simple as plugging another DAQ-2500X into the USB port.  The multifunction DAQ-2500X will quickly become the solution of choice for PC I/O applications where performance, portability, cost, or most significantly, scalability are significant considerations.

DAQ Control Center™ software provided free gives complete PC control and data logging to multiple devices even for users without programming experience.  Experienced users can access the full functionality of DAQ-2500X through Fiberbyte’s COM Server interface which provides support for most modern programming languages and software applications.  LabVIEW drivers are also provided for interfacing into existing test applications.

DAQ-2500X is 100% USB-compatible, but with USB-inSync™ it offers multi-device synchronous and deterministic features.  Fiberbyte’s USB-inSync™ interface technology is capable of synchronizing over 100 discrete devices to within +/- 5ns of each other without requiring any external equipment.  More details about USB-inSync™ at www.fiberbyte.com
