GPS Logger for Less than $100!

is a new, compact GPS logger - the perfect solution for passively logging
the traveled routes of shipments, vehicles, personnel, or anything else that
moves. Logged routes can be subsequently displayed on your PC. Synchronizing
with up to 20 GPS satellites, DG-100™ uses the super-fast SiRFStar III
integrated GPS chipset for fast data capture and satellite locking. It can store
up to 60,000 data-points of time, date, speed, altitude, and GPS coordinates.
Location accuracy is up to 1 meter, velocity accuracy 0.1m/sec, and time
accuracy to 0.1msec, and DG-100™
will operate for up to 20 hours on the two
NiMH AA rechargeable
batteries
included.
Connecting the DG-100™ to your PC with its built-in USB cable allows you
to export the recorded points using the supplied
Globalsync software,
showing movement and speed on visual software such as Google Earth or Google
Maps.
Housed in a durable 3.15” x 2.15” x 0.7” polycarbonate case and weighing only 2oz.,this state-of-the-art logger is the perfect solution for logging the movement record of an item or person (but note it is illegal to monitor a person’s movement without their permission). Supplied configuration software also includes a “Speed Filter” function, so you can display the stored data which matches your selected criteria, such as excessive speeding. This makes DG-100™ a valuable safety tool for company vehicles, or even wayward teenagers!
DG-100™ also works with Immageo geo-tagging software, which lets you record the original physical location of your photo images. GPS coordinates are embedded within the photo image data. DG-100™ can also be connected to a Notebook PC to be used as a “GPS mouse”, providing position data input to mapping software, or other data-gathering applications on your PC.
DG-100™ offers an excellent, economical solution for employers needing to keep track of fleet or parcel movement, and represents a low-cost alternative to real-time tracking devices that incur monthly airtime fees.
