Saelig Introduces DLM-09 Battery Data
Logger & Monitor
for Battery Discharge Curve Logging and Battery
Monitoring Alarms
Pittsford, NY: DLM-09 is a lightweight, portable Data Logger/Monitor specifically designed to test battery systems - in particular 12V, 24V, 48V and 110V battery banks, but suitable for other voltages and with options for input voltages up to 550V. DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor is completely powered from the batteries under test, and therefore an external power source is not required. This means that tests cannot terminate part-way through due to mains power outages. DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor may be left on site, unattended, for extended periods of time for data collection, or used permanently as a Monitor / Alarm system.
DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor accepts up to 9 inputs from cell blocks, each ESD- and over-voltage protected. Options are available to increase the number of inputs to 127 channels. Parameters that may be logged and stored in non-volatile memory include: “Temperature”, “Battery Discharge Current”, “Overall Battery Voltage” and “Total Interconnection Voltage”. As well as recording all of the inputs, the relative time from “Start” is also logged, with selectable sample rates from 10 seconds to several hours.
DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor has two modes of operation: Battery Discharge Mode and Monitor Mode. In Battery Discharge Mode, the unit will log all cell/block voltages at programmed intervals as well as “Temperature”, “Battery Discharge Current” and “Overall Battery Voltage” and “Total Interconnection Voltage”. The logger is initially set up via a local or remote computer, after which the PC may be disconnected and the logger will continue to function in its preset mode. In a discharge test, for instance, a laptop may be reconnected after the test has finished and the data downloaded to the laptop. In Monitor Mode, the logger will activate its alarm output contacts if an alarm condition occurs. The PC may be reconnected at any time for real-time updates of all readings and alarm status. An Alarm log allows you to view previous alarm conditions with time/date stamp.
DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor is housed in a light weight, rugged 19 inch Rack mountable, 1U case and is very cost-effective. The unit is ideal for standard 3 and 5 hour discharge tests and long term battery monitoring. DLM-09 Data Logger/Monitor has full protection circuitry, is light weight and is easy to transport. DLM-09 is easy to set up via a PC’s USB Port and the free application software is intuitive to use. It features fully programmable Full and Pre Alarm conditions with voltage-free outputs, suitable for connection to a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. Every cell/block is monitored for "End Voltage", which prevents deep discharge and possible battery damage. Optional Ethernet connection allows remote control and access, allowing full remote-control from anywhere in the world. All parameters may be set or monitored remotely - even a full discharge test carried out with full data download. Remote enable and disable is ideal for UPS control. This allows users to leave a Discharge Test running unsupervised, leaving you free to carry out other on-site activities. A selectable End Voltage terminates the test and can switch off an applied load.
Manufactured in Australia by Manatronics, DLM-09 is now available in North America from Saelig. For detailed specifications, free technical assistance, or additional information, please contact (toll-free in the US) 1-888-7SAELIG, via email: info@saelig.com, or visit www.saelig.com.
