Mephisto Scope is a robust,
USB-powered multifunctional instrument that delivers the
functionality of seven instruments in one compact box: a 2-channel 16-bit
1MSa/s digital storage oscilloscope, an FFT
spectrum analyzer, a 2-channel volt meter with
pointer display (DC/AC/trueRMS), an analog data-logger, a multi-channel digital
data-logger, a 16-channel 100kHz logic analyzer,
and a digital 24-line I/O box. UM203 is housed in a sturdy metal case and
is suitable for even rough, mobile applications such as field maintenance,
service and training. With its low power consumption, UM203 MEphisto Scope
is an ideal solution in a mobile toolkit for use with notebook or netbook PCs.
A unique function of
Mephisto UM203
is the ability to perform stand-alone 100kSa/s data-logging to SD memory card,
independent of a PC (a 256 MB SD card is included). In this application, an
external power supply (included) is required. When connected to a PC, no power
supply is needed since power is drawn from the USB port. Measurement commences
by simply inserting an SD card - the module runs from the latest PC set-up
conditions. You can log analog as well as digital data to the SD card.
Easy-to-use Windows software is provided to make the instrument quick to set up, with separate control/display panels for all seven devices. Additionally, Mephisto UM203 is expandable with optional accessory modules which provide relay or opto-isolated outputs.
The oscilloscope function provides extensive triggering options (threshold, window, rising/ falling edge, slope (dV/dt), as well as manual and external triggering). Internal memory size is 256 kSamples. MEphisto Lab Windows software supplied free provides a separate on-screen panel for each of the seven instruments, complete with adjustment knobs, displays, etc. Users can thus operate the UM203 much like conventional benchtop instruments. UM203 MEphisto Scope can also be custom-programmed using C++, VEE Pro, or LabVIEW.
