New USB Scope Adapter is Six Instruments in One!

is a low-cost PC-based instrument which provides the features of six benchtop
instruments in one USB-powered compact box: 2-channel scope, 2-channel
spectrum-analyzer, 2-channel chart-recorder, 8 or 16 channel logic-analyzer,
5-channel square-wave and PWM generator, and an 8-channel pattern generator –
all for less than $200! You could say it has a seventh instrument inside too:
PoScope decodes and displays
UART,
SPI,

and 1-Wire
signals!
The Oscilloscope capability provides a 2-channel 10-bit -20V-to-+20V
100Hz to 200kHz basic scope, but with marker
measurements,
triggering
(absolute,
differential,
pre-trigger
, external)
and
adding
signal voltage
and
frequency
measurement,
filtering,
etc.) With 64k sample/channel
data buffer you can view plenty of information.
The 2-channel Spectrum Analyzer feature offers marker measurements, distortion measurement, and various filtering options.
The Chart Recorder can record and display signals from 0.01Hz to 200kHz
for up to 24 hours with marker
measurements,
the ability to add comments,
max/minimum/
average
voltage
measurement
for
each
channel,
etc.
The Logic Analyzer offers a useful 16-channel, 1kHz to 8MHz recording,
with 8-channels still available
if the internal 8-channel pattern generator is on.
Marker
measurements
are provided, as well as several triggering
options (edge,
level,
mask, pre-trigger,
external
clocking,
preset
missing pulse,
preset
bit sequence/edge,
etc. Remarkably in an instrument at this low cost, it includes free handy visual
decoding
of UART,
SPI,
I2C
and 1-Wire
interfaces.
The Signal Generator is a 5-channel square and PWM generator which operates independently of the other modes. You can enable the generator, connect its signal to your circuit and perform measurements with the oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. The PWM Generator has a fixed frequency of 7,8125 kHz with a variable 1-100% duty-cycle. The Squarewave Generator has a 50% fixed duty cycle with frequency variable in 8 steps from 3.91 kHz to 1MHz.
The
Pattern Generator is an 8-channel, 1kHz to 1MHz device with
tabular
waveform
formatting
or useful mouse
chart
plotting on the screen.
Additionally, the USB interface allows you to record, output and print all
waveforms or even update the firmware as new features become available.
PoScope
is
available now from stock from Saelig Co. Inc. including 2 scope probes and a
logic ribbon probeset.
