Swordfish USB Scope
“FISHES” for Signals

Swordfish™ is a unique hand held probe that combines the functions of 5 MHz Oscilloscope, 20kS/s Data Logger, FFT Spectrum Analyzer, Volt Meter and Frequency Meter in a single device. Swordfish™ features a user-replaceable precision spring loaded probe tip which can be used to probe even small surface-mount components. The probe tip and cover can be removed, revealing a standard phono/RCA socket. A phono-to-BNC adapter is also supplied, allowing Swordfish™ to connect to standard oscilloscope probes or BNC cables if required. Powered from USB, Swordfish™ features a 10-bit ADC with a true sampling rate of up to 40M Samples/sec and sophisticated hardware triggering. The over-sampling feature of the EasyScope II software allows repetitive waveforms to be viewed at an effective resolution of up to 1nS (= 1G Samples/sec).

Swordfish™  makes a great addition to any engineer’s toolbox, or an economical device for education and testing, and is very easy to use and install. Using USB has many advantages over legacy printer and serial ports. It fully supports Plug and Play, so Swordfish™ is immediately recognized and configured on plugging in. USB is also fast and allows for a cable length of up to 15 feet between the instrument and a PC.  You can even save waveform images to your PC.
