Budget Global Digital Video Converter With Built-in Timebase Corrector
TR-50 is an economical stand-alone video standards converter for changing a video signal from one TV system into another. TR-50 converts most PAL/ NTSC/SECAM signals into PAL or NTSC signals. If you need to convert video tapes from/to PAL/NTSC, simply connect your source via TR-50 to a VCR of the different system; or between a VCR or camcorder and a TV of a different system (a PAL VCR or camcorder and an NTSC TV, for example); or between a satellite tuner receiving PAL programs and an NTSC TV (or vice versa), etc. You can also use a TR-50 in conjunction with a region-free DVD player and your US television and view any region or standard DVD in the world.
TR-50 can be used as a desktop or portable video converter, and convenient 12 VDC operation makes it ideal to install in vehicles. It is also a high-quality, affordable solution for TVs used with a different TV system. TR-50 has no problem converting from American 525lines/60Hz to European 625 lines/50Hz and vice versa, with vertical and horizontal resolution of better than 400 lines. Housed in a stylish, sturdy metal box that is only 8” (W) x 1-1/4” (H) x 5” (D), TR-50 weighs in at only 1.5lbs.
