USBwiz™ - QUICKLY ADDS USB STORAGE
TO YOUR PRODUCT!

Pittsford, New York. USBwiz™ IC is a new, unique file-system chip which allows electronics designers to connect products to SD media cards, USB thumb drives or USB hard drives. Additionally, USBwiz™  can talk to many other USB devices such as printers, mice, keyboards, joysticks, etc.

With USBwiz™, you can now easily add a USB keyboard, mouse, joystick and/or printer to your system. USBwiz™ also includes FAT file system handling, so you can use PC-compatible USB thumb drives and external USB (FAT formatted) hard drives. No USB knowledge is necessary, just plug and play!

Through simple commands over UART, SPI or I2C, USBwiz™ allows you to read/write files from a thumb drive or SD/MMC card. The UART runs as high as 921.6 K-baud, SPI clock is up to 7Mhz and I2C clock up to 400Khz. Accessing USB Human Interface Devices (HID) and USB printers is also just as simple.  Adding to its utility,  USBwiz™ also includes a built-in 10-bit ADC/DAC.

For faster integration of USBwiz™ into your product, USBwiz™ is available on a ready-to-run board USBwiz-OEM (includes USBwiz™ IC and ISP1160 USB host IC on one compact circuit board).

Applications for the tiny 2” x 1.6” USBwiz™ include: data loggers, picture viewers, MP3 players, file transfer capability between automated machines and PCs, RS232 to USB-printer server, digital cameras, USB input devices, etc.
