Compact Fanless Multimedia PC - Runs on 12V With No Moving Parts!

 

Pittsford, New York.  Ventrix-mini 25F™ is a new fanless compact PC system with rugged aluminum construction and radiator-design for efficient cooling, running from a 12V supply and therefore particularly suited to automobile applications. Ventrix-mini 25F™ includes an IEEE1394 port for fast data transfer, serial ports, audio, USB2.0 ports, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, VGA, TV-out and Video-in, 10/100BaseTx, 20 GB 2.5” HDD, and 12Vdc supply with external power adapter.

The "Solid State" version of Ventrix-mini 25F™ provides 2GB CompactFlash storage as an alternative to HDD, and, as a result, it has no moving parts for absolutely silent operation.  The compact (10.8” x 7.2” x 2”) aluminum housing is designed with built-in heat-sink fins to keep the embedded 1GHz VIA Eden processor and other ic’s cool.

The graphics capability for Ventrix-mini 25F™  features an optimized shared-memory architecture, 64MB max, with integrated 4xAGP, 128bit 3D graphics engine, MPEG2/1 video decoder and high quality DVD video play back. Maximum resolution supported is 1920 x 1440 x 16bit, with VGA resolutions also supporting 16:9 mode.

A slightly larger version (11.8” x 7.9” x 3”) Ventrix-mini 40F™ is also available, which features one half-size PCI expansion slot.  It also has a “solid-state” version with no moving parts.
