![]() Berkeley Nucleonics Model 835-4 4GHz Signal GeneratorManufacturer: Berkley Nucleonics This product is no longer available at Saelig.
The Model 835-4 is a high quality, portable RF signal generator, providing high spectral purity signals from 9kHz to 4.0GHz with milliHz resolution. It is a low-noise, fast-switching, high-performance analog RF signal generator with very low phase noise and good harmonic suppression. It supports many modulation schemes, including AM/FM/PM and pulse modulation, and features an internal low-drift OCXO reference. Available with battery-power as an option, it offers true portability in a compact, robust enclosure. It suits a wide range of applications where high-quality analog signals up to 4GHz are needed, and provides an excellent, cost-effective, small-sized alternative to expensive high-end RF signal generators with a similar RF performance. The 835-4 operates with an internal ultra-stable temperature compensated 100MHz reference (OCXO, <100 ppb accuracy) and can be phase-locked to a selectable external reference. Multiple units can be synchronized by daisy-chaining the units’ reference inputs and outputs. Integration of multiple signal sources within a production test environment is now easy, affordable, and repeatable. The extremely compact, rugged, and fanless design of the Model 835-4 requires very little DC power (~12 watts), with minor heat dissipation. The low power design allows the use of optional internal battery modules to create a truly portable instrument, ideally suited for field testing, installation, and maintenance. With powerful Ethernet LAN control (GUI, API, Web, SCPI) the Model 835-4 suits applications where a controllable high-quality 4GHz source is required. A 19 inch rack-mount kit is also available. This product is equivalent to the Anapico APSIN4000HC. |
