    The uOLED-32028-P1(GFX) is a 2.83" size compact and cost effective all in one ‘SMART” display module using the latest state of the art Active Matrix OLED (AMOLED) technology with an embedded PICASO-GFX2 graphics controller that delivers ‘stand-alone’ functionality to any project.

    The PICASO-GFX2 belongs to a family of processors powered by a highly optimised soft core virtual  engine,  E.V.E.  (Extensible Virtual Engine). EVE is a proprietary, high performance virtual processor with an extensive byte-code instruction set optimised to execute compiled 4DGL programs. 4DGL (4D Graphics Language) was specifically developed from ground up for the EVE engine core. It is a high level language which is
    easy to learn and simple to understand yet powerful  enough to tackle many embedded graphics applications.

    4DGL allows the developer to write applications in a high level syntax similar to popular languages such as BASIC, C and Pascal and run it directly on the PICASO-GFX2 processor embedded in the uOLED-32028-P1 module. It allows the user to take complete control of all available resources on that hardware platform such as the Serial Ports, Graphics AMOLED Display, uSD memory card, I/O pins, etc. This eliminates the need for an external host controller/processor to drive the uOLED-32028-P1 module via serial commands. It provides the user complete control over the hardware module allowing them to quickly develop powerful applications.

             - VCC, TX, RX, GND, RESET.

    • 15K bytes of flash memory for user code storage and 14K bytes of SRAM for user variables.
    • 2 x Asynchronous hardware serial ports (COM0, COM1), TTL interface, with 300 baud to 256K baud.
    • 1 x I2C interface (Master).
    • 8 x 16 bit timers with 1 millisecond resolution.
    • 16 x General Purpose I/O pins. Upper 8 bits can be used as an I/O Bus for fast 8-bit parallel data transfers.
    • On-board micro-SD memory card adaptor for multimedia storage and data logging purposes. HC memory card support is also available for cards larger than 4Gb.
    • DOS compatible file access (FAT16 format) as well as low level access to card memory.
    • Dedicated PWM Audio pin supports FAT16 audio WAV files and complex sound generation.
    • On-board audio amplifier with a tiny 8 Ohms speaker for sound generation and WAV file playback.
    • Built in extensive 4DGL graphics and system library functions. For all available features and functions under the 4DGL programming language.

    There is only a single GOLDELOX/PICASO chip on the module. The chip can be configured to be either a GOLDELOX-SGC/PICASO-SGC or a GOLDELOX-GFX2/PICASO-GFX2 by programming the appropriate PmmC configuration file (Personality module micro Code) in to the chip. Think of it as soft silicon where the silicon can be reconfigured via the PmmC file.

    (SGC) Serial Platform

    The (SGC) Serial-Platform modules are based on the GOLDELOX-SGC/PICASO-SGC Serial Graphics Controller chip. In this mode, the GOLDELOX-SGC/PICASO-SGC becomes the slave device controlled by an external host controller. This allows you to develop your graphics applications using the host controller's development platform and software tools. The GOLDELOX-SGC/PICASO-SGC chip has a rich set of serial commands built inside the chip and the commands are sent from the host controller via the serial (UART) interface. All it takes is a few bytes of serial data from the host controller and you can quickly and easily draw lines, circles, text and even display Images as well as play Video clips.

    (GFX) 4DGL Platform

    The (GFX) 4DGL-Platform modules are based on the GOLDELOX-GFX2/PICASO-GFX2 Graphics Controller chip. In this mode, the GOLDELOX-GFX2/PICASO-GFX2 becomes a standalone device and all application code is written in 4DGL (4D Graphics Language). Don't let the name scare you off, 4DGL is an easy to learn but a powerful high level language. It allows the developer to write applications in a high level syntax similar to popular languages such as BASIC, C and Pascal and run it directly on the GOLDELOX-GFX2/PICASO-GFX2 processor. The (GFX) modules are stand-alone devices. It allows the user to take complete control of all available resources on the display module such as the Serial Port, the graphics display and the micro-SD memory card. It provides the user complete control over the display module allowing them to offload a lot of overhead from the host processor by creating the 'work horse' objects within the display module itself.
