ALFATxp FAT File System IC

Finally the long awaited for ALFATxp is available. This is our latest chipset to bring you FAT file system access to SD/MMC media. It also acts as a card reader though the built-in USB peripheral. Now, you can easily share files between a PC and your products.

Also, ALFATxp comes with a second USB interface so you can communicate with your product right from the PC. The interface is a CDC (Communication Device Class) which already has drivers on most operating systems. It also appears as a virtual COM port on a Windows environment and you can read/write data with easy serial communication protocol.

That is not all, this is our first chipset torun your Java code. There is no need for a second micro anymore. User programs can sit and run right inside ALFATxp.
