The Instek GDS-3254 250MHz 4 Channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope is a full-featured and powerful tool that tackles complex measurements with a real-time sampling rate of up to 5GSa/s and an equivalent-time sampling rate of 100GSa/s. The large 8” SVGA TFT LCD screen, combined with the advanced digital signal processing technology VPO, provides terrific detail and clarity of displayed waveforms. The GDS-3254 DSO provides design and test engineers with a powerful tools for communications and fast signal analysis and debugging, as well as offering serial interface decoding for I2C ,SPI and UART. The GDS-3254 Oscilloscope offers optional power-measurement software (please inquire), which includes measurements of Power Quality, Harmonics, Ripple and Inrush Current. The GDS-3254’s VPO (Visual Persistence Oscilloscope) unique signal-processing design significantly increases the data processing speed and the waveform capture rate, since it uses an FPGA to replace conventional serial microprocessor architecture. This unique technology allows the GDS-3254 Oscilloscope to show waveforms more like an analog oscilloscope. The VPO three dimension waveform display, containing amplitude, time and intensity, provides more useful signal contents for the analysis of rapid-changed events, such as video, jitter, and infrequent signals.

With 5GSa/s sampling and Visual Persistence Oscilloscope (VPO) technology, the GDS-3254 displays waveforms faithfully and captures glitches without missing other overall waveform information. A unique Split-screen feature allows each input channel to be adjusted independently with respect to settings and waveform display. This gives users flexibility to use the GDS-3254 Oscilloscope as a multi-scope-in-one DSO.  Additional features are also included, such as Autorange to automatically adjust the horizontal and vertical scale of a displayed signal so that waveforms are optimally displayed quickly. On the front panel, a USB host port is used for easy data access. And in the rear panel, another USB port can be used for remote control or for screen printout directly to PictBridge printers. Additionally included are RS-232, SD, and LAN interfaces, and an SVGA video output port allows you to display the screen on an external projector or monitor for information sharing and discussion.
