    The GW Instek PPH-1503 is a high-speed and high-precision single channel DC Power Supply with dual-range outputs of either 0~15V/0~3A or 0~9V/0~5A.  It can function in Constant Voltage or Constant Current operation, and features a built-in DVM Measurement Function.

    PPH-1503 has been designed to satisfy low power consumption requirements, as well as the demand for accuracy, speed, and resolution of both voltage and current. The PPH-1503 has a swift response in providing stable voltage outputs while experiencing millisecond load changes.  

    PPH-1503 can simulate a battery response when a significant voltage drop occurs. A recovery time of 40us or less is guaranteed when the maximum voltage drop is within l00mV. Other more conventional power supplies do not have sufficient speed to reach voltage set levels required for today’s needs But PPH-1503 provides a rise time of 0.l5ms and fall time of 0.65ms -  hundreds of times faster than conventional power supplies.

    The PPH-I503 provides pulse current and long integration functions, the former can measure the peak value of a pulse, the latter can measure the average value of pulses – invaluable in measuring transient power consumption.  PPH-1503 provides DUT with pulse current measurement and analyzes the transient power consumption to qualify the device for specified power consumption requirements.

    The PPH-1503 can also sink current, acting as an electronic load, and simulate the discharge characteristics of rechargeable batteries. The maximum current is up to 2A. Users can test either battery charging or discharging without requiring other test equipment. 

    For test set-ups, the PPH-1503 provides Limit Relay and Trip Relay output ports.  And the built-in DVM (Digital Volt Meter) is designed to measure any point on a device being tested while the PPH-1503 is supplying the voltage and current, and thereby performing simultaneous output and monitoring. Power supply output and DVM input ports are available on either front or rear panels and users can remotely control the PPH-I503 via a PC by using the USB, GPIB and LAN interfaces provided. PC control software can be downloaded free from GW lnstek’s website. 

    These unique features make the PPH-1503 an ideal power source for test set-ups, production lines, R&D laboratories, QC inspection, maintenance centers or facilities that need a quick-response and precise power supply and DVM.
