Explorer EX260 is a new, sophisticated yet easy-to-use protocol test system for USB traffic monitoring, driver and software stack debugging, protocol compliance verification and performance analysis. EX260 is a multifunction protocol analyzer and packet generator offering Automated Compliance Testing - an industry first. USB3.0 is still an evolving specification, but EX260, based on new industry-leading hardware combining 1 GB of memory with a custom-made, high-performance processor, has the processing power needed to test USB3.0's new 5 Gbps Super-Speed mode. EX260 reduces R&D time by finding issues early and debugging more efficiently, improving quality and reliability by verifying compliance of both USB systems and USB software to defined specifications.
Multifunction EX260 can perform a host of tasks, including: analyze USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 links at any speed, including OTG and the new InterChip-USB; emulate USB hosts and devices; inject pre-defined error patterns for stress and error recovery testing; act either as a protocol analyzer or a packet generator; automatically verify compliance to USB and class specifications.
EX260
is available in three
configurations:
1) Explorer 260 Analyzer - includes extensive analysis features with
real-time monitoring, hard-disk data streaming, in-depth class decoding,
comprehensive traffic statistics, and powerful triggering and filtering.
2) Explorer 260 Generator - supplements protocol analysis by
emulating USB devices and hosts, and by testing corner cases and recovery
mechanisms. Reproducible traffic, timing and error scenarios can be created with
a powerful scripting environment; includes Automatic Pre-Compliance Testing
software; captured traffic can be replayed too. EX260 Generator
supports the industry's first Inline Error Injection feature to insert
programmed errors between a host and device to determine the impact of
transmission errors.
3) Explorer 260 Duo - a flexible bundle of two units that can be used as
one analyzer and one generator, two protocol analyzers or two packet generators
depending on your testing requirements.
