Fairport, NY: Saelig Company Inc. has announced the LED-Warrior11-MOD - a convenient and economical board that generates the bus power for a single DALI smart lighting bus system. LED-Warrior11-MOD requires an input of 24V +/-10% at 300mA to provide lighting bus power that is current-limited to 230 mA. The DALI+ and DALI connectors on the LED-Warrior-11-MOD are connected to the DALI lighting bus (polarity need not be observed). A board-mounted LED indicates bus power and flashes during data transfers.
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a building automation bus primarily for lighting control. It is a non-proprietary interface standard for dimmable electronic products, offering improved functionality and greater ease of use over conventional dimming and control methods. A maximum of 16 groups with up to 64 DALI products can be controlled with a high degree of flexibility via a two-wire control line, either individually or in Broadcast Mode. Typically, DALI is used in a room or on a floor level and is often connected via bridges to a building network system such as KNX. Switching and dimming are handled via the control line without the need for relays. Lamp status and other important information is stored in the control gear and is available to the controller.
Note that DALI switches, dimmers or other DALI master devices that supply power to the DALI bus cannot be connected to the same bus as LED-Warrior11-MOD.
The compact (47 x 38 x 6.5 mm) board is also available in a DINrail mount package LED-Warrior11-DR (95 x 36 x 57 mm). LED Warriori-11 products are EMC tested to EN 55015;11.2009, EN 61547; 03.2010, FCC 740 Part15B.
