Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the X2E XORAYA N4000 - a powerful datalogger intended for automotive applications which is able to record data from multiple bus systems simultaneously at data rates of up to 3 Gbit/s. Each logger comes with 20 x HS-CAN/CAN FD, 8 x RS-232, 2 x FlexRay, and 8 x Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The logger is equipped with an SFP+ interface for 10GBase-T and is housed in a rugged, hermetically sealed case with an active cooling system. The XORAYA N4000 has three slots for plug-in card options, which provide a flexible configuration choices for the data logger, enabling it to be assembled or retrofitted according to varying customer requirements. An add-on board is also available to equip the data logger with a 24x LIN connections. In this way, the XORAYA N4000 data logger can be quickly and efficiently adapted to varying test conditions and can be adapted to ever-changing project needs.
Optional modules available include: LS-CAN, HS-CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, RS-232, LIN, Ethernet, 100/1000Base-T1 (OABR), PSI5, and analog signal inputs. Support for other bus systems is also possible for special requirements. All data is logged with a precise, central timestamp offering 100ns resolution and saved either on the internal SSD or transferred via Ethernet to an external computer system or XORAYA External Storage Unit. A built-in supercapacitor unit bridges any power fluctuations and provides the ability to safely shut the logger down during power failures. The data logger supports x2e’s own Distributed Logging Network (DLN) as well as the Probe Logger Protocol (PLP) to adapt different probes to the logger.
Successor to the highly successful XORAYA Z7, the XORAYA N4000 is based on the Zynq® Ultra-Scale+™ quadcore ARM® Cortex®-A53 and is widely used by European car manufacturers. For even further increased performance, the built-in Xilinx FPGA and RAM can be exchanged for a more powerful FPGA module. The internal SSD memory can be expanded from the standard 240GB to as large as 1TB. Additional customer-specific solutions can be obtained, from unique cable sets to corresponding custom installation racks for test vehicles. Software provided includes the Logger OS (Embedded Linux) with XORAYA Suite and XORAYA SDK for Microsoft Windows.
The XORAYA N4000 Automotive Datalogger is designed and manufactured by Germany-based X2E, which specializes in designing and building high-performance test equipment used throughout the automotive industry. It is available now from Saelig Company, Inc.
