Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Co. Inc. has introduced the OC51T series of surface mount miniature oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) from frequency control specialists Euroquartz. These square-wave frequency sources are housed in a tiny surface-mount package and offer optimal frequency stability from a quartz IT-cut crystal. The OC51T series is available in frequencies from 10MHz to 40MHz and comes in a 9.7 x 7.5 x 4.1mm miniature 4-pad package with 3.3 and 5.0V supply voltage options. With voltage control as standard, OC51T OCXOs deliver a frequency stability of ±20ppb (parts per billion) maximum over a -40 to +85degC range, making them ideal for use in applications requiring exceptionally accurate timing signals, such as radio transmitters, cellular base stations, military communications equipment, and also for precision frequency measurement. Frequency stability versus temperature is even better at ±10ppb over the reduced -30 to +70degC temperature range. With regard to voltage change, stability is ±10ppb for a ±5% input voltage variation.
The OC51T’s output is specified with a 7ns maximum rise and fall time (20-80% of waveform), an output load of 15pF, a duty cycle of 50% ±5%, with a power dissipation of 0.4W.
