Pittsford, NY Picoscope 5204 is a new dual-channel 250 MHz PC Oscilloscope with a memory depth of 128 million samples and a real-time sampling ratio of 1 GS/s.
PicoScope 5204 connects to the USB2.0 port of any Windows laptop or desktop PC and offers an array of high-end oscilloscope features, including advanced triggering and an equivalent-time sampling mode that boosts the sampling rate to 20 GS/s for repetitive waveforms. Other advanced functions include a built-in 250 MHz spectrum analyzer and a 12 bit, 125 MS/s arbitrary waveform generator.
Other oscilloscopes in this price range force you to compromise on sampling rate, bandwidth or memory depth, but PicoScope 5204 excels in all the areas, making it a no-compromise oscilloscope adapter at a price every engineer can afford.
Picoscope 5204 is supplied with software which takes advantage of PC capabilities to offer high-end oscilloscope features with an easy-to-use Windows interface at an affordable price. Features include a waveform buffer (records 32 waveforms), and a “probe manager” (supports custom probes like current clamps or nonlinear probes). You can also display automated measurements, from simple multimeter-style voltage readout to advanced statistical and monitoring functions. With its USB streaming capability at speeds of up to 6 MS/s, Picoscope 5204 is also ideal as a high-speed data acquisition front-end, since it can record huge sequences of gap-free data limited only by the PC’s memory.
By offering a market-leading 128 million samples, PicoScope 5204 can capture complex waveforms at long time bases without lowering the sample rate as competitive products are forced to do. PicoScope 5204 is supplied in a handy carry case and includes switchable probes, power supply, software and documentation. Drivers and examples are supplied for popular programming languages as well as third-party applications such as LabView, VEE and Excel.
