Fairport, NY. Saelig Company Inc. announces the MegiQ RMS 3D Antenna Measurement System. Engineered for wireless product developers, antenna designers, and IoT engineers, the RMS 3D system delivers full spherical radiation pattern analysis, Total Radiated Power (TRP) calculations, and multi-frequency sweeps directly on an engineer's workbench or standard lab environment. The incorporated turntable system lets RMS users measure complete 3D radiation patterns, with the device rotated automatically around two axes and no manual repositioning. The table rotates around the Z-axis (Phi) and around the X-axis (Theta), giving a radiation pattern of the full sphere instead of three separate cuts.
Historically, obtaining precise 3D radiation patterns required booking time in costly external anechoic test chambers or investing tens of thousands of dollars in dedicated darkrooms. The MegiQ RMS 3D system overcomes environmental reflections using specialized measurement antennas combined with time-domain and redundancy algorithms. This design allows accurate +/-1.0 dB base measurements in ordinary lab spaces as small as 12’ x 12’ x 9’.
Key Specifications
With modern wireless design, 2D measurements often miss critical radiation nulls or unexpected gain lobes. The RMS 3D system makes full spherical evaluation fast, accessible, and repeatable in minutes—allowing engineers to iterate designs rapidly without leaving their office. The bundled, license-free MegiQ RMS software suite handles rotation controls, real-time power monitoring, interactive 3D visualizations, and report generation. Automated calculations include:
The MegiQ RMS 3D Antenna Measurement System from MegiQ BV, a leader in accessible RF measurement and development tools, is available immediately from Saelig Company, Inc., MegiQ’s USA technical distributor. Existing MegiQ RMS users can also upgrade their standard 3-axis setups to full 3D capabilities by adding the RMS-3DTT turntable unit.
