Saelig Announces Micsig SigOFIT Gen 3 Series 1GHz Optically Isolated Probes
Micsig SigOFIT optical-fiber isolated probes offer a galvanically-isolated measurement solution for accurately resolving high bandwidth, high voltage differential signals in the presence of large common mode voltages.

Fairport, NY  Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced Micsig SigOFIT Gen 3 Series Optically Isolated Probes, which offer bandwidths of up to 1GHz and common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 108dB at 1GHz, enabling highly accurate differential measurements to be made in demanding high-voltage and high-frequency applications. The Gen 3 Series represents the latest generation of Micsig optically isolated probes, designed to deliver excellent measurement accuracy, safety, and reliability. Utilizing Micsig's innovative SigOFIT™ technology and laser-powered optical transmission, these probes provide complete galvanic isolation between the oscilloscope and the device under test, significantly reducing interference from common-mode voltages while ensuring uninterrupted high-precision measurements. Equipped with a standard BNC interface, these probes can work with oscilloscopes of all makes.

Models in the range offer bandwidths ranging from 200 MHz to 1GHz with a gain accuracy of 1% at DC and noise suppression below 0.3mV RMS, enabling reliable analysis of even the smallest signal variations. The SigOFIT Gen 3 Series Probes accurately capture differential signals even in the presence of strong common-mode voltages. This makes the probes ideally suited for applications involving power electronics, motor drives, inverters, DC/DC converters, electronic ballasts, and advanced GaN and SiC semiconductor devices.

The SigOFIT platform supports a wide range of interchangeable attenuators, enabling differential-mode measurements from ±0.01 V up to ±20 kV. For low-voltage applications, the probe can also be used without an attenuation tip by connecting an SMA adapter directly to the probe. In this configuration, the probe utilizes an internal attenuation ratio of 2:1, making it suitable for accurate small-signal measurements while maintaining the benefits of optical isolation technology. Unlike traditional differential probes that can only test high-voltage signals, SigOFIT probes can be used with different attenuator tips to test differential mode signals from ±0.01V to ±6250V, achieving a full-range output and very high signal-to-noise ratio.

The SigOFIT Gen 3 Series eliminate the need for routine calibration and auto-zero procedures. Powered by Micsig’s exclusive ADHOMT hybrid laser modulation technology,  its advanced optical architecture ensures excellent temperature stability with virtually no temperature drift, maintaining measurement accuracy during extended testing sessions and changing environmental conditions.

Applications include power electronics development, inverter testing, high-voltage safety verification, semiconductor characterization, IGBT, SiC, and GaN switching analysis, 800volt EV platforms, OBC, DC fast charging, three-phase inverter bridges, EMI tests and advanced R&D applications where high bandwidth, high isolation, and superior signal integrity are essential.

Made by Shenzhen-based Micsig Technology, a leading provider of battery-powered portable and handheld oscilloscopes since 2004,the SigOFIT Gen 3 Series Optically Isolated Probes are available now from their USA technical distributor Saelig Company, Inc.
