Offering up to 30GHz bandwidth with TDR/TDT and Optical models, PicoScope 9300 sampling oscilloscopes are designed for digital and telecommunications applications of 10Gb/s and higher, microwave applications up to 25GHz and timing applications with a resolution down to 64fs. Other features include optional 11.3Gb/s clock recovery, optical to electrical convertion or differential, deskewable time domain reflectometry sources (60ps/7V) make for a powerful, small-footprint, and cost-effective measurement package.

The two- or four-channel PicoScope 9300 series offers models at 20GHz and 30GHz with low sampling jitter and fine timing resolution to support measurement of transitions down to 12 ps (calculated). Among the fastest of all available sampling oscilloscopes, the 9300 Series captures waveforms at up to 1 MSa/s with timing resolution down to 64fs and with 16-bit vertical resolution. They achieve lively trace, persistence and eye updates, greater than 60 dB dynamic range, and trace lengths up to 32 kS. 20GHz to 30 GHz electrical, 9.5 GHz optical, TDR/TDT, 2-channel and 4-channel, compact, portable, USB instruments. The PicoScope 9300 Series scopes quickly measure more than 30 fundamental parameters used to characterize non-return-to-zero (NRZ) signals and return-to-zero (RZ) signals. Up to ten parameters can be measured simultaneously, with comprehensive statistics also shown.

The PicoScope 9311 oscilloscope features a built-in step generator for time-domain reflectometry and transmission measurements. The 9311-20 features deskewable rising and falling step generators suited to single-ended and differential measurements. These features can be used to characterize transmission lines, printed circuit traces, connectors and cables with 16 mm resolution for impedance measurements and 4 mm resolution for fault detection.

To support serial data applications in which the data clock is not available as a trigger, or for which trigger jitter needs to be reduced, the PicoScope 9302 and 9321 both include a clock recovery module. This continuously regenerates the data clock from the incoming serial data or trigger signal and can do so with reduced jitter even over very long trigger delays or for pattern lock applications.

These units occupy very little space on the workbench and are small enough to carry with a laptop for on-site testing. Instead of using remote probe heads attached to a large bench-top unit, now it is possible to position the scope right next to the device under test.

These sampling scopes are ideal for high-speed analysis of very fast signals and for eye-diagram analysis. All of them include a built-in signal generator that can generate industry-standard or custom signals including clock, pulse and pseudo-random binary sequence. Oscilloscope options include 9.5GHz optical inputs, time-domain reflectometry, clock recovery, and pattern sync triggers.

The PicoConnect 900 Series low-impedance, high-bandwidth probes are ideal companions for the PicoScope 9300 Series, allowing cost-effective fingertip browsing of fast signals.

PicoScope 9400 USB Sampling Oscilloscopes

The PicoScope 9400 Series of sampler-extended real-time oscilloscopes (SXRTOs) from Pico Technology have 2 or 4 high-bandwidth 50ohm input channels with market-leading ADC, timing, and display resolutions, specifically designed for accurately measuring and visualizing high-speed analog and data signals. These instruments are ideal for capturing pulse and step transitions down to 22ps, impulses down to 45ps, and clocks and data eyes to 11Gb/s (with the 8Gb/s clock recovery option).

These PicoScope SXRTOs offer random sampling, which can readily analyze high-bandwidth applications that involve repetitive signals or clock-related streams. The SXRTO is extremely fast: random sampling, persistence displays and statistics all build quickly.

The PicoScope 9400 Series has a built-in internal trigger on every channel, with pre-trigger random sampling to well above the Nyquist (real-time) sampling rate. Bandwidth is up to 16GHz on a 50ohm SMA(f) input, in three acquisition modes - Real-time, Random and Roll - all captured at 12-bit resolution into a shared memory of up to 250kSa.

The touch-compatible PicoSample 4 software supplied is derived from the previous, highly regarded, PicoSample 3 sampling oscilloscope software, which embodies over ten years of
development, customer feedback and optimization. There is no additional charge for software features or updates.

The resultant display can be resized to fit any window and fully utilize available display resolution, 4K and even larger or across multiple monitors. Four independent zoom channels can show different data views to a resolution of 0.4ps. Most of the controls and status panels can be shown or hidden according to choice allowing optimal use of the display area.
