The ChargeBox FASTHub solution is an elegant and effective method of providing charging services previously unavailable before. It incorporates USB-C, Apple, and Qi charging methods using a low profile design. The FASTHub can charge Apple devices, USB 2.1, and USB-C devices up to 200 Watts (see table below for details).

The ChargeBox FASTHub has two primary components,  the FastHub Controller and Power Module (FCPM) and the  FASTHub Wireless Charging Pad and Cable Management Unit (FWCM). The FCPM provides a data feed of the health and error status of each FastHub installation to maintain charging availability and power integrity of the FCPM. The FCPM can provide this data feed with a WiFi or (recommended) external (bolt-on) 3G/4G router. Installing two FCPM modules can be installed together to accommodate 240V and utilize a single data feed. Additional (multiple) FCPM modules can be configured but only after the approval of ChargeBox Ltd.

The FCPM is a single low-profile rectangular metal box. One FCPM is required for each installation. Each FCPM can charge up to four (4) endpoints, depending on the type of endpoint connection.

FCPM is also available in a Duo system, which features two daisy-chained FASTHub controllers. This configuration will minimize the requirements for a 240V provision and utilizing a single data connection. FASTHub can be configured with an external bolt-on 3G/4G router for telemetry, also serving multiple nearby controllers.

The FASTHub Wireless charging pad and cable management unit (FWCM) is an elegant low-profile surface mounted unit. The FWCM offers Qi wireless charging for supported devices and a maximum of three additional cables for other devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops. The FWCP can deliver up to 60W over USB-C cable, 27W over a Micro-USB for laptops, and 15W for an Apple Lightning phone. The FASTHub Wireless charging and cable management unit are available in many finishes or a wood veneer.

ChargeBox can customize a charging solution with a furniture-matching surface and company logo in the cable nest area, creating a Fast Charge ‘stay & charge’ solution to seamlessly match any design ethos. See here for design examples.
