Flexible 800W 2-Ch Power Supply (PSB-2400L2)

The PSB-2400L2 is a high power density, programmable dual-output switching DC power supply with an output voltage of 0 to 80V, a current of 0 to 40A, and a maximum output power of up to 800W. The output functionality allows flexible voltage and current outputs under the rated power range. Both series and parallel connections for all of the PSB-2000 series can  fulfill the requirements for even higher power output ranges. Conventional power supplies provide power that is defined by the maximum output voltage multiplied by the maximum output current.  The flexible output stages of the PSB-2400L2, in contrast, offer higher voltage with a smaller current or lower voltage and higher current. 

The stylish PSB-2400L2 provides three sets of preset function keys to memorize regularly used settings of voltage, current, and power for rapid recall. A serial-controlled Sequence Function, using an RS232C, USB, or optional GPIB interface, can produce output power defined by sequence of set voltage and current steps defined by an attached PC. This capability is valuable for creating standard test procedures for verifying devices under test by quickly changing operating conditions.

The PSB-2400L2 features over-voltage and over-current protection too. When charging batteries, the Hi-Ohm mode of the PSB-2400L2 will prevent reverse current from damaging the power supply. Analog control and analog monitor interfaces are provided on the rear panel to control the PSB-2400L2 output via an external voltage or to externally monitor the voltage and current output status.  The PSB-2400L2’s control panel can be rotated 90 degrees for a choice of vertical or horizontal mounting to accommodate optimum space utilization.
