PS25003 EPIC Demo Kit w/ PS25101 SensorsManufacturer: Plessey This product is no longer available.
Two sensor assemblies and connecting cables are included with the Demo Kit. EPIC Demonstration Kit versions are also available with PS25012A non-contact sensors and PS25014A ECG electrodes. Plessey Semiconductor’s EPIC (Electric Potential Integrated Circuit) sensors can capture high quality clinical electrophysiological signals enabling the remote monitoring of vital signs. EPIC technology is also capable of movement sensing and the accurate imaging of charge distributions and material properties. The Control and Interface Box provides the following functions:
The Sensor Demo Boards have a screened wire lead that is terminated in a 4 pin DIN plug. The front panel of the box is detailed below:
The USB-powered Control and Interface Box requires connection to a PC running the associated software. While the analog output signals from the box can be sent to an oscilloscope, the software provided displays a rolling waveform with chart recorder capability. Software Filter Control check boxes allow high-pass/comb/low-pass digital filters to be applied and modified.

The PS25003 Demonstration Unit includes two Plessey Semiconductor EPIC active sensors, a Control and Interface Box with software, USB cable, and a User Guide. This flexible system may be used to explore a range of EPIC applications from electrophysiological signal detection such as ECG/EKG (heart), EEG (alpha brainwaves), and EOG (eye-movement) -- to local electric field detection for applications such as motion or personnel sensing. The Control Box can be used with either 50 or 60Hz power, and its functions include Driven Right Leg capability for ECG/EKG.
