![]() Ramsey STE2300M RF Test Shielded EnclosureManufacturer: Ramsey Electronics This product is superseded with the STE2305M Early in 2024 Ramsey Electronics announced wholesale changes to its lineup of RF-Shielded (Faraday) enclosures. Most of the original Ramsey part numbers now end with an M, reflecting new standard features that have been added to nearly all models.
Because Ramsey boxes almost always require options, online ordering is not enabled for any of them. Even when one of the more fully featured standard boxes is selected, we often find other options are needed once the particulars of the application are known. Because their products are almost always customized, Ramsey does not keep finished goods inventory of shielded boxes. All boxes are built to order. Lead time varies depending on the model, options and current demand. We will include the expected lead time in our quote. Saelig keeps stock of STE3000F2. We will add to that inventory as buying patterns emerge for the new standard forensic boxes.
As isolated RF testing evolved into more applications, so did the size, design, and style of the STE\'s. The STE2200M was designed as the little brother and smallest STE available for small wireless devices. As wireless LAN devices became smaller, it made sense to step-up the STE2200M to a slightly larger design that also utilized our standard universal I/O interface panel. This not only allowed the testing of larger devices, but gave the user the same I/O capacity of our largest STE! Size wise, we increased the width to 9", the height to 5.5" and the depth to 12". This together with the extended I/O capacity gives the user all the benefits of the larger STE\'s while keeping closely within size of his DUT\'s. And that\'s a cost savings! In addition to the standard universal I/O panel we also designed in the option for cross ventilation to cool the DUT. For the first time these advanced features became available in a small hand-held test chamber! The STE2300M is constructed to the same precision-machined tolerances as our larger STE\'s to maintain an exceptionally well shielded environment. The universal I/O panel is constructed of heavy duty milled 304 stainless steel to assure stability even when well populated with I/O connectors and feedthroughs. Heavy duty, .090 and .125 aluminum is used throughout and our double lip, high performance RF gaskets are used at all joint locations assuring a reliable RF tight closure. Oversized hinges and latches are used to provide a physically tight seal every time. In addition, steady-hold hinges keep the access door at any fixed position making repetitive production testing easier. RF absorbent foam lines the interior to provide a typical RF attenuation of -90dB @ 3GHz makes the STE2300M the ideal "cross-over" chamber for smaller devices that do not require a larger area or hands-on manipulation.
