The TEX8000-15 is a Laboratory-quality, RF Switched Multiplier offering +15dBm output to 8GHz when combined with a suitable fundamental signal source. Fundamental frequencies from 200-4000MHz are amplified with a nominal gain of +14dB. Above 4000MHz a frequency doubler provides a multiplication of the RF signal to a maximum of 8GHz. To minimize current draw from the USB supply, the unused RF path is powered down when not in use.

The TEX8000-15 is the smallest USB microwave Multiplier available and offers an inexpensive alternative to broadband synthesizers.

Applications include extending the frequency range of signal generators limited to 4GHz. Combining the signal generator, TEX8000-15 Multiplier and a power sensor creates a low cost, 8GHz scalar analyzer.

The multiplier contains 0.5GB of flash memory used for installation files, test data and other supporting documentation. The internal memory is user accessible.
