Best of Sensors 2011 ImagePS25014A  Application Board for PS25401 EPIC Contact Sensor

PS25012A is a single-channel application board for the demonstration of Plessey’s PS25401 electric potential sensor, which allows the measurement of a wide range of electric potential sources. The sensor incorporates a DC block feature that allows the DC component of an applied signal to be rejected while maintaining good low frequency response. The PS25401 sensor on this board is a surface-mount integrated assembly. The application board provides the regulated +2.5V and generated -2.5V supplies that are used to operate the sensor. This allows the board to demonstrate the sensors from a wide range, single-sided power supply voltage, while the output of the sensor can cover the range ±2.1V. The board is connected by a high reliability five pin connector. Two single channel PS25012A boards may be used to generate a differential signal.  This board is not designed for contact applications.

    Applications

    • Electric field and potential sensing,
    • Movement sensing, etc.
