Version 16 of the useful Diagnostic Assistance software from Auto-Solve is now released, including significant updates to the valuable content. It will be delivered in a brand new packaging and the contents of the box is: USB case, blue USB hardware license, serial number and download instructions. Future updates will be available to download. There has been a significant update to the content in this version and it has a host of new features. Several new technologies are covered, such as MOST, FLEXRAY, LIN, components, vehicle networks and more. In addition it has a new Body Systems Component Test section with 24 tests, 138 DTC linked component test plans, over 2700 drawings, waveforms, images and diagrams as well as 137 subject matter «topics» (more than 365 000 words). The software has three clear sections Section 1 - Fundamentals. Technical topics that you can read to improve your core knowledge of systems and their operation. The pages record when you last opened them. This way you can periodically refresh your knowledge by reading them again. Section 2 - Guided Fault Finding. You can use this section for in-time learning while you work on a car. You can select topics to work through by component or symptom. Each topic describes the component or system operation, what may happen in the event it has failed, how to test the component or circuit, example waveforms with Picoscope, and testing with other equipment such as a scan tool or multimeter. There are 160 components listed, which cover the vast majority of components fitted to the modern vehicle. The component test page provides the technician with just-in-time learning on the suspected component. This page contains four key sections: what the component does, what you need to know before testing - including MasterTech notes, how to test the component and test results and next steps. Section 3 - Library. This section contains reference waveforms and scan tool screenshots. There are in excess of 200 waveform types in the waveform library. |
