Saelig has partnered with Sensor Technology to provide customers with custom rotary torque measurement solutions. For over 45 years, Sensor Technology has been developing its own technology for the instrumentation, test and OEM markets. They offer a range of rotary torque sensors and transducers to suit a variety of industrial applications. Our standard range of torque transducers can measure torque from 10mNm up to 13000Nm. Watch our video for a brief introduction to our products. If you need assistance in choosing a torque sensor to meet the requirements of a specific application, please contact us. The Sensor Technology rotary transducers operate using a four-element strain gauge Wheatstone bridge, which is connected to a miniature shaft mounted analog to digital converter and microcontroller. The microcontroller conditions and measures the strain gauge bridge output as close to the gauges as possible, eliminating any possible external noise pick up in the gauge wiring. The shaft mounted electronic module is wirelessly powered by a radio frequency source which drives a stator coil, the output of which is received by a rotor coil on the shaft thus making the system completely contactless. This eliminates the need for slip rings and their associated wear and noise problems. The digital RWT510/520 Series torque sensors with integrated electronics and the smaller digital RWT530/540 Series torque sensors (with a separate electronics housing) include the latest non-contact TorqSense (SAW) technology. Also offered are Optical and Strain Gauge technology torque transducers. TorqView, based on NI LabVIEW, is available as an easy-to-use Advanced Torque Monitoring software tool to assist data recording. Customers can specify any full-scale torque range, within the standard range, to optimize accuracy. Included within the purchase is a free calibration for the first year and a lifetime warranty (see conditions). To find which transducer is most suitable for your application please contact a Saelig representative to discuss your needs in detail. Here are the newest versions of TorqSense rotary torque sensors:
